Corentin Massiot

Biography

Corentin Massiot was born in Rennes in 1986. After a BTS audiovisual sound option, he worked on several documentaries, as a sound engineer. The very small teams of the documentary practice allow him to take part in the "staging".

At the same time, he co-founded the Synaps collective audiovisual collective, which aims to develop and support original cinematographic and audiovisual projects, as well as a Wildsound association, which provides the rental of sound recording equipment and the provision of a sound editing studio. Subsequently, he specialized as a fictional boom operator, which allowed him to access more important configurations of staging and reflections on sound composition in cinema. His relationship to the image developed with the practice of photography. He was a finalist in the Visual Storytelling Awards 2019 competition.
