Biography
Renaud Cohen, born September 10, 1964 in Paris, is a French director and screenwriter. He has also acted in some of his own films.
After a master's degree in Chinese, Renaud Cohen returned to La Fémis from which he graduated in 1992 (3e promotion, production department). He made his first short fiction film there, Thoughts of a Boy, which won the Special Prize of the Edinburgh Jury, the Grand Prize for Youth at the Seine-Saint-Denis Festival and the Audience Prize at the Geneva Festival.
He then directed several documentaries, including Welcome to the model village (2006), People's bread rolls (1999), The Refugee Hotel (1999), The Master of the Monkeys (1996) and Electric Shadowbringers (1993). In 1998, he was resident at the Villa Médicis in the screenplay section.
