Founded in 2015, NEXT FILM DISTRIBUTION is an international distribution and sales company for short and feature films
By choosing our favorite projects, we support a bold, eclectic and demanding cinema. Animation, fiction, documentary, we defend a wide range of works, encouraging an author's view, human and open to the world.
NEXT FILM DISTRIBUTION was born from the will of two partners: Patrick Hernandez (producer and co-founder of BAGAN FILMS) and Anthony Trihan (with 13 years of experience at Luna Distribution) to develop a feature film distribution business and international short film sales.
NEXT first released two feature-length documentaries: A sweet rebellion, by Manuel Poutte, devoted to citizen movements, and vincent and me by Edouard Cuel and Gaël Breton, on disability. NEXT FILM then released two fictions: Hostile, a genre film by Mathieu Turi and Gutland, a rural thriller by Govinda Van Maele.
Since then, NEXT alternates fiction and documentary: release in 2019 of the comedy-documentary The Chinese and me by Renaud Cohen, release in 2020 of the restored version of the Breton militant documentary Plogoff, stones against guns by Nicole Le Garrec, after her selection at Cannes Classics in May 2020. Finally, The last prisoner, A Albanian political thriller by Bujar Alimani was released in July 2020.
NEXT is also developing an international sales activity for short films. We work with traditional buyers of short films, television channels and platforms. We are also working on setting up short film programs for presentation in cinemas. The programs are put together in collaboration with exhibitors, exploring themes or genres of cinema (comedy, genre cinema).

NEXT develops a sales activity for short films. We work with traditional short films buyers, television channels and platforms, but also short film programs for theatrical distribution.
Our feature film selection for theatrical distribution is centered around three main categories: documentary feature films (four films distributed), genre cinema and European films.
